The Hot Tamales is the name of a small group personal training class. These classes are great for those who desire more individual help with their training. The class participants are not muted which allows for real time help and guidance. Memberships to this class must be approved by the instructor, Joy Fletcher. Participants can join and take 1, 2 or 3 classes per week. Memberships for HotTamales can be purchased for either 6 or 12 months. The price reflects the number of sessions chosen per week.
The sessions are 60-minutes in duration. There is class on Monday & Wednesday at 5:30 pm and a Friday class at 5:00 pm. All classes have a circuit style format. On Friday, all exercises are done either standing or sitting, with no floor exercises. The Monday and Wednesday classes are currently transitioning to adding some floor exercises. All exercise routines are designed to be age-appropriate, to increase muscle strength, esp. core for better balance, improved posture and flexibility.
For the class you'll need a set of resistance bands or TheraBands, a 9-inch small yoga ball and 1 yoga block (for Mon & Wed class). Walking poles are occasionally used but are not mandatory.
