Intermediate Yoga offers more challenge with its flow and poses than Gentle Yoga. It still includes a variety of movements; reclining, twisting, standing, sitting, slight inverting, and reaching; to improve posture, balance, and strength. The perfect mix of meditation with a focus on breathing will help to bring a sense of mental calmness and relaxation. Modifications on body alignment are given to accommodate all fitness levels. However, if you're new to yoga, you may find the slower pace of Gentle Yoga makes it easier to learn the poses thus making it more desirable. The tools we recommend for class are: a yoga mat or using a carpeted floor, 2 yoga blocks or 2 sturdy text books, a yoga strap or an old neck tie.
